The beginning

The Beginning A couple of our friends have been asking about our blog, and I am getting tired of telling them we don't have one so here goes. We are all out of school now. I have been out of school for almost a month and I am going crazy! Everyone else in our house has a life, I don't. When I am in school I am so busy that just going to class, studying and keeping up with the family is all I can do. I have been really looking forward to summer because there are so many projects that I want to do and things that I have to get done before they drive me crazy. I started off really great, with a painting project. The project turned out really good and I was able to cross that off of my long list of things that have to be done. Then I got a headache. So I have been down for a while. Hopefully, I will be feeling better soon and able to get back to my list. Last weekend Sara went to prom, that created a lot of excitement; especially when she called me at 9:30 pm and said that her dress had ripped. I took a bunch of safety pins and ran to the prom to make the necessary repairs - so technically I got to go to prom this year also! It was fun to see the kids in their fancy clothes. They all looked so young! or maybe I'm just getting old. Liz has been recovering from her recent go cart wreck. It was actually a couple of weeks ago, but she is still suffering from the effects of driving too fast, not following instructions and just plain having too much fun!! Kris has been spending a lot of time in the wood shop. His thumb is healed up from his recent accident. Ya, he put a nail thru his thumb with the nail gun and then wanted Liz to get some pliers out and yank it out! I said no way! and took him to the emergency room. He is building the most gorgeous chess boards, so I guess it's worth the nail in the thumb - until we get the bill. The most momentous event of all Nick shaved!! He looks so good, it's nice to know he still has a jaw. We are looking forward to a fun summer, and hope to have time to spend together and do something so that I don't go out of my mind. See you soon.
